Harissa Mediterranean Sliders, the patty is made from chickpeas with loads of fresh & dried herbs, and harissa paste, then it is grilled to perfection, drenched in lemon mint & garlic tahini. You will want to drink tahini, it’s soooo good. I also made a lemon mint & garlic aioli because I couldn’t make up my mind as to which one I liked better with the sliders…. so I made both and everyone liked both with it lol. I’m putting the recipe for both but you can choose which one you like! The aioli is AMAZING with fries. These slides would be great for entertaining, you can prep the patties in advance and even freeze them!
I made harissa mediterranean sliders for Ahaan’s birthday, it was an instant hit in our family. They were such a hit that I made the harissa mediterranean sliders, twice in one week!! My FIL who is usually very picky loved these and gave it a two thumbs up. So I hope your family enjoys them just as much as mine. Please tag me @zheelicious so I can see!

Notes:
- I use Trader Joe’s or Mina brand harissa paste. Mina brand is available at most super markets.
- I got my slider buns from Trader Joe’s.
- Zatar is a spice blend and can be found in the international aisle, amazon, or world market.
- You can use ground oats instead of bread crumbs
- If the burgers fall apart while cooking, you can add an egg or a potato to bind the mixture, or even more hummus.
- You can use regular sliced cheese.
- Use lettuce instead of arugula if you don’t have it on hand.
- You can also use pickles as a topping.
- These patty’s will freeze well.
- Everything can be prepped in advance.
- The tahini & aioli can be stored in the fridge for upto a week.
- You can use dried mint instead of fresh if you don’t have fresh.
- This recipe can easily be vegan if you omit the cheese or use vegan cheese and omit the aioli or make it with vegan mayo.
- The serving size may change depending on the size of your buns/ pattys.
